Control your SBS fans all around your house without leaving your sofa! Just plug the included X10 Wireless Remote System base into any nearby outlet, and you'll have total wireless control of any device connected to an X10 module or switch. The remote control operates as many as 16 devices (or groups of devices) and includes dimming and brightening buttons for use with dimmable lights. The plug-in base receives the commands and instantly sends them along the home's power lines. The system uses radio frequency signals instead of infrared, so you won't have to be in direct line of sight for proper operation. As long as the remote is within 100 feet of the plug-in base, it will work like a charm! The X10 Wireless Remote Control System requires 4 AAA batteries (sold separately). NOTE: The dimming and brightening feature should not be used to adjust the speed of SBS Fans.

Want to control devices from more than one remote? Expanding is incredibly easy! Add as many handheld remotes as you want. As long as they're set to the same house code as the base, they will control the same devices. As an added benefit, the plug-in base also doubles as a two-way X10 appliance module that responds to unit code 1 or 9.

This multiple device RF base works with X10's line of IR/RF remote control.

The expandable RF Base includes a built-in appliance module which responds to unit codes 1 or 9 on the housecode chosen. The appliance module can be controlled by wireless control or from another hardwired X10 transmitter. Like other Appliance Modules, it too is rated for 500 watts incandescent, 1/3 HP motor loads, and 15 amps resistive load.
